The AFSC participates in multiple competitions across Minnesota as well as hosting our own Learn to Skate USA Competition each year. Our Battle of the Blades is part of the Central MN Compete USA Competition Series.
If you are interested in competing, the skating club provides a list of coaching staff available for private lessons to prepare for competition. The skater is responsible for contracting private ice time with the AFSC and contracting lesson time with a coach. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to a coach or board member.
The Central MN Compete USA Competition Series runs January through March with events in Willmar, St. Cloud, Brainerd, Fergus Falls and Alexandria. Our club hosts the Battle of the Blades, the final in the Series, in March and is a fun, low stress competition for beginning skaters. The 2022 competition will be held on March 12, 2022! For more information visit the series website at www.centralminnesotaseries.org

Our Central MN Compete USA Competition Series also has a summer camp available for LTS skaters (location rotates between our competition host clubs). This summer we are proud to announce that we are hosting the 2022 skating camp! There will be two options offered — a two day camp for those Freeskate 3/Pre-Preliminary & Up and a single day camp for Basic 4 & Up through Preliminary. Registration and further information can be found on eventbrite by clicking here.
