Homecoming Parade:  The school year has started which  means homecoming is right a round the corner and we would love for you to participate in the homecoming parade on the figure skating float.  The theme for this year's float is Highschool Musical!  It will run along with our 2020 spring show theme of "Lights, Camera, Action!"  Lexi Dirkes and Abby Blank are in charge of the float and they are asking a few things from you if you or your child wishes to be on the float.  They want it to be as fun and organized as possible!

To be on the float, you need to RSVP by Friday 9/13 to Abby Blank at 320-815-7539.  She will then be in touch with you regarding costume assignments and other details.  The parade is Friday, September 27, 2019 at 4:00pm, line up at 3:30pm with float decorating on 9/25.

Group Lessons/Fall Registration/Skate Exchange: Our in person registration dates for our Fall Group Lessons are set for Monday, September 23 and Thursday, Sept. 26 from 5:30 to 7:00 both days at the RCC.  We will have a skate and skatewear exchange if you are looking to purchase or sell.  The club has a supply of new guards and other gear for sale as well.  This is a great time to get all your skating questions answered!  The registration form is now available on our forms page - Group lessons start Monday, October 14, 2019.

Amazon Smiles:  Shop on Amazon and support the Alexandria FSC!  Click here to get connected and have a portion of your purchases come back to the club.  Everyone wins!  Thanks for your generosity!

Infinity DVDs:  If you missed our annual spring banquet, you can pick up the show DVD that you ordered at the skating office during summer lessons.  Check the calendar to see ice times when staff will be at the rink.  DVDs are not mailed out - you must pick up your copy at the rink.

Weather Related Announcements - Generally the AFSC does not cancel ice due to the weather. However, in the event that the ice times are cancelled due to the weather, AFSC will send out email notification via the AFSC Mailing List with the details of the cancellation, and if possible local media outlets will be notified as well.

Central MN Compete USA Competition Series: The AFSC is a part of this competition series which runs January through March.  Our club hosts the Battle of the Blades in March and is a fun, low stress competition for beginning skaters.  The 2020 competition will be held on March 14, 2020!  For more information visit the series website at  www.centralminnesotaseries.org.
