Our Awake the Grapes 5k/10k fundraiser is May 26, 2024 (Sunday of Memorial Weekend) and we need volunteers to help!

Here are job descriptions:
REGISTRATION (GRAND HALL) – Parents/older skaters to help pre-registered runners check-in or complete race day registration AND Skaters to help sort and hand out t-shirts to racers. Registration starts at 8am, but arrive no later than 7:25am for set up and to sort shirts. Please note that if you choose to park next to the Grand Hall, the main gate will close at 7:30am and reopen at 11am. If you need to leave earlier than 11am, park behind brewery. 10k race is 9am, 5k race at 9:15am. Grand Hall area closes between 10:30-11am.
COURSE DIRECTION – Parents/skaters to help guide runners in the right direction at certain key points of the race course. This includes spots on the 10k Road Course too. Bring cow bell, noise makers, posters, pom-poms, etc. along to cheer racers on! The club should have some cow bells to use too. Arrive at 8:15am. 10k race is 9am, 5k race at 9:15am.
10K WATER STOP – Man the water stop and cheer racers on! Need 1 family of 2-4 people. Arrive 8:15am. 10k race is 9am.
HELP ANDERSON RACE MANAGEMENT – Arrive 7am. ATG committee has this covered.
We may need extra help directing folks outside to registration and well as other odds and ends jobs. So you flexibility race morning is appreciated! Thanks everyone!
Also you are invited to stay and hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. Awards are presented around 10:45am after all the racers have completed the run. A couple of skaters to help hand out awards would be great! There will be a food truck (9-11am), pizza (10am), drinks (Jack’s Public House 9am, Winery and Brewery 10am), live music (9:30am), etc. It is always just fun to hang out on the grounds.
